Storm damage to historic building

Lathe and plaster walls are generally found in old and sometimes historic buildings. When there is a water intrusion, you do what you can to preserve the integrity of the building itself and that means not taking down walls. In this instance, we see where water has collected in the ceiling of a very old church. We used a wall-in unit to dry the walls from the inside. The tubes that you see are attached to an air mover and are placed into the physical wall via 5/8" holes that are drilled. This has proven to be the most effective way to dry out plaster and keep the walls as intact as possible.
